Distraction over Interruption in Social Media (Great Apes)

I'm reading Great Apes at the moment by Will Self and came across this ricochet or crossover point (if you wish) in the text of Mark Earls IPA social big picture draft.

Mark writes:

Sociolinguists use the term “phatic” to describe the relational value created by what therefore amounts to the inarticulate ‘grunting and stroking’ involved in this kind of communication : they seem to be a way of keeping communications lines open and relationships alive. Being the Super Social Primate species that we are, we do this kind of thing naturally and gleefully: without prompting, huge numbers of us Brits have taken to texting over the last decade - from zero to 5BN+ texts a month in the UK alone (to put it in perspective £7.8m of donations to Comic Relief this year via short text code). And we do the same with the likes of Facebook and Twitter, to create an even steeper adoption curve. Indeed, the UK beat the US by a few months to the critical point where social media overtook pornography in terms of Internet usage.

Will Self writes:

But perhaps most significant of all is the human attitude to touch. It is this that appears so acutely inchimp. Humans, because of their lack of protective coat, have not evolved the complex rituals of grooming and touch that so define Chimpanzee social organisation and gesticulation. Imagine not being groomed! It is almost unthinkable to a chimpanzee that a significant portion of the day should not be given over to this most cohering and sensual of activities. Undoubtedly it is this lack of grooming that renders human sexuality so bizarre to us.

So where does marketing fit into this picture? Is coitus interruptus the new 'money shot' for interruptive marketing communications or as I've written else where but not elaborated on, is there now a need to explore deeper and further all the dimensions of distraction over interruption? I've got some ideas for this.

One of my main complaints with one of the recent Facebook facelifts is that within the Facebook environment I find it too 'busy' for want of a better word. The distraction quotient was too high and that's not factoring in the interruptive element of the built in messenger service where it's entirely possible to be hijacked from an interruptive experience to a distractive one (or vice versa) and forget completely about the original content immersion (say reading the mail or catching up on all your photos (yes you lot).

I think it's this we need to investigate further and realistically there should be only one aperture for either interruptive or distractive (the two can have a overlapping qualities depending on what preceeded the experience being processed). So there you have it... and I'm way too experienced in telling the truth (you can't handle it folks) to spill the beans where I picked up this thinking on the net but I'll tell you to your face if you ask.

As a more interesting, and humanist aside Will Self informs us (seriously or not I don't know but I do know enough cat and dog lovers to give this thought serious credence). He writes, once again in the Authors Note:

It may even transpire that the behaviours (British spelling) of domesticated humans which reinforce this theory are in fact dependent on some form of morphic, resonant association with wild populations. Wipe out the wild humans and even the domesticated ones who have learnt to sign (some humans have a lexicon of five hundred or more ES signs) may fall motionless. Gesticulation between our two species will be at an end*.

I find that fascinating and it may further explain our enduring fascination with Zoos.

In any case should the gesticulation across our species with each other, 'fall motionless' our nobility (as a species) is eroded no doubt when we losing opportunities to pet, pat, stroke or even yell melodramatic vulgarities at our favourite pets (a dog say) over spilt milk. We know that personal insult to Canines are never really embraced in the same way as canine does to homo sapien when say compared to harsh exchanges between two humans where the sensitivity is markedly more sensitive and infinitely more long lasting. Without this gesticulation across the species what will we resort to when feeling our way around the subject of venting steam? Are we diminished by throttling every other species around us with which we interact through unfettered capitalism? Are the Chimps more important that we've ever suspected?

...anyway I appear to have been distracted both you and myself by this point. I apologise for that.

* Will Self plays around interchangeably with humans and chimps when reinforcing our genetic proximity.

Update: I've coincidentally stumbled across these two terrific related articles in Fast Forward written by my friend Rob Patterson who is well worth adding to your RSS feeds.

Max Igan's Incoherent Narrative

It's now clear that Ken O'Keefe is pimping a World Citizen pyramid scheme, while researching the subject it came to my attention that Max Igan is also not all that he seems. I've yet to corroborate this information with interviews, but what I can say is listen to his own voice that bears no resemblance to his day job.

This isn't the lugubrious and phlegmatic tones of the Max Igan we all know. This is a guy losing it on air with expletives to compensate for a massively wounded ego.

Let's just take a look a world hopping jet set Max's lifestyle. He lives in Peru where he claims he needs two of everything because of the humidity. Two washing machines and two refrigerators because one needs to be in repair while the other is in use.

A cursory scan of his recent travel lifestyle includes Byron Bay, Santiago, Spain, Amsterdam, Bali and Acapulco. Just the tickets alone for him to fly on that memorable flight from Chile to Australia is 1350 British Pounds or $1789 dollars on the cheapest one week return flight I could find.

Nice work if you can get it.

Now let's move on to Max's words and actions. He said in his "Betrayal of Ken O'Keefe" article that it would be his last word on the subject, and then he posted about it on Facebook, and then did the interview above and now a video blog. Well either it's your last word or not, and if not it raises the question if your word is actually your word.

Max claims that he was only peripherally associated with the One World Citizen Solution pyramid scheme of Ken O'Keefe yet it appears that it was many of his Australian (and other) connections that formed the team assembled for the project including the equally jet set Samantha Bachman.

Max writes "I had nothing to do with his mission other than attend the initial meeting at the request of the team." The Facebook screen grab above is linked here.

This was in Bali December 2015. By February in Acapulco Ken and Max were having their first falling out and in April 2016 Max is clearly backing out of his association with the project if no legal means of withdrawing from taxes for wars or claiming world citizenship can be made.

The glaring question is why Max Igan (not his real name), then took another four months to spill the beans on Ken?

He says it's because Ken was his friend, but by this time he'd received his subversion report and it was clear Ken was not his friend.

This is four months extra while people donated to the project, worked with the project, built the project and kept the fiction going. As Max Igan says himself in his latest Video Blog at the 2.45 mark on the subject of Zen Gardner. If you knew about the child abuse as head of PR for Children of God before anyone else. Why didn't you blow the whistle?

Later on in his latest Video Blog posted below, Max is claiming he put forward his own recommended legal expertise (Ken Cousins) needed to determine if a legal basis could be established in each and every country.

This is the first mention of that matter

He also shares that he is thinking of quitting but still needs your donations.

That his international jet set lifestyle is punishingly hard with little or no reward though he conveniently excludes the Bali trip and return to Australia.

The purpose of this post isn't to fan the flames of bickering or arguing. Ken is clearly a con man yet Max has an incoherent argument that reveals his lugubrious phlegmatic radio tones are just as much a persona as Ken's fierce justice warrior rhetoric without the epic thieving.

What is of interest to me is the whiff of a broader Psyop with characters like Samantha Bachmann with her PhD in Metaphysics (an obvious Oxymoron) and that other charlatan imposter Santos Bonacci surfacing.

For me Max breaks the cardinal rule, like that other sell-out Ry Dawson and his Sandy Hook ignorance.

He accuses his detractors of conspiracy theories.

Update: Max's trip to Bali has been scrubbed from the internet.

I literally can't find any trace of it. I've posted new videos where the old one(s) were deleted.

Very troubling.

1111 x BIIANCO - AGAINST THE WALL

Future Dance - Crushing

22:11 - It's the 60th anniversary of JFK & The Unspeakable

The most curious example, in my opinion above, is the rejection of my card for 5.55 at The Key & Anchor, three times yet I only used cash in the pub that night. The screengrabs were arbitrary, I looked up from time to time for no specific reason, and noted the numbers which came at me like a blizzard. It was quite a wild ride but also not without intense interest.

A post of mine was reported to Facebook and the automatic review process has taken offence to starving and partially clothed people as above. There was a chance to appeal but in the end, I've posted loads on Churchill so I let it go.

That's OK as it's their business platform. Facebook was OK a few years ago, but it's not an activist tool anymore, though it has worked well in the past.

This post, I hope will remain in the public domain to raise public awareness of MKULTRA, Palestine and institutionalised child abuse.

I still have more work to do on this post but this will do for the time being.

Update: It still goes on but less intensive.

Just so all are clear. I don't wait for the numbers to align.

I merely look at anything with the display of a number (clocks, computers etc) and the synchronicity is there. The camera on my phone is broken so I'm unable to take photos and am restricted to screenshots.

Otherwise, there would be more.

Russell Brand Exposes Corporate Media Puppets

Comedian Russell Brand terrified anchors on MSNBC's Morning Joe program by lecturing them about how the media distracts from real news by obsessing about superficial distractions.

Brand almost immediately put host Mika Brzezinski on the back foot by describing his tour as an exploration of how Malcolm X, Gandhi, Che Guevara and Jesus Christ "are significant culturally and how icons are appropriated and used to designate consciousness and meaning....they're all people that died for a cause, they're all people whose icons are used to designate meaning, perhaps not in the manner in which they intended."

Brand then poked fun at MSNBC's army of "actors" in the back of the shot who were supposedly tweeting, noting that they were merely a gimmick to create the impression that the program was a hotbed of news.

The anchors began to get visibly uncomfortable when Brand made the point that mass media was an operation in changing information "so it suits a particular agenda" and that viewers were being manipulated.

Instead of addressing Brand's point, the anchors instead obsessed about the comedian's accent and his clothing.

"You're talking about me as if I'm not here and as if I'm an extraterrestrial," responded Brand, "thank you for your casual objectification."

"I'm a little nervous," retorted Brzezinski, presumably not used to entertaining guests on her program who act like real people.

When the conversation began to break down, Brand asked , "Is this what you all do for a living?" before hijacking the broadcast to talk about Edward Snowden, the NSA spying scandal and Bradley Manning.

"Look beyond the superficial, that's the problem with current affairs, you forget about what's important, you allow the agenda to be decided by superficial information -- what am I saying -- what am I talking about -- don't think about what I'm wearing, these things are redundant, superficial -- don't be distracted," said Brand as Brzezinski physically cowered.

Update: Mika Brzezinski has changed her tune over what is and isn't trivial. They can all rot in hell as far as I'm concerned. Totally fake people.

Is Malika Boonmeetrakul Using Facebook & Google Before She Censors Facebook & Google?

There's a damning post on the "Democrat" opposition party's deputy spokesperson Mallika Boonmeetrakul (or มัลลิกา บุญมีตระกูล in Thai) at New Mandala. It was cogently and elegantly written by Dr.Pavin Chachavalpongpun at Prachathai originally and is a show of journalistic courage often absent in Thailand.

The question this raises is whether the likes of Google should withdraw the free Gmail they provide to allow people to snitch on the harshest and most sensitive political issue in contemporary Thailand?

It's only right for digital giants to stay out of domestic political issues. But  should they facilitate censorship like the recent 20 year jailing of a 61 year old Thai man for sending rude SMS messages to Mallika Boonmeetrakul's Democrat Party that contravene Lese Majeste laws?

Update:

Some of the comments at New Mandala are well informed, astute and insightful:

Andrew Spooner writes:

A week ago I wrote about the start of Mallika's pro-censorship campaign. What Pavin has missed out in his excellent piece is that Mallika announced her campaign at the exact same time as Ar Kong was being sentenced (see my piece here)

She also threatened to prosecute Anudith and MICT under article 157 if they didn't prosecute every single LM case.

Yet, at the same time, pro-Democrat voices in the Bangkok Post (Voranai etc) and Amnesty's pro-royalist Ben Zawacki are mouthing, for the first time, more liberal sentiment and condemning LM.

Personally, I sense a political strategy of pinning PT down from both sides. One pushing them towards more illiberal policies the other condemning them.

Remember that the Dems are utterly unelectable and completely incapable of forming policies that would be attractive to the Thai electorate. The only way they can ever get back into power is by destabilising the country.

I see Mallika wanting to make a name for herself, gaining coverage and attempting to set herself up as an arch defender of the "faith" and am certain Abhisit feels that there is a lot to gain from Mallika's stance.

SteveCM writes:

Abhisit is today tweeting that Ms Mallika’s proposal is not Democrat party policy – that’s fully four days after she (an official spokesperson for the party, remember) came out with it.

What to make of this belated input from the party leader? Did Mallika “go off the reservation” – or was she “flying a kite” for the leadership? One way or the other, it appears that she or it has now been hauled back in.

Ynot Writes:

Below is a copy of my response as appeared in Prachatai per Dr. Pavin’s open letter to Mullika, one of too many appalling Thai politicians.

It is very hard to shut down the internet. As soon as one site is shut down, another will arise.

I have one proposal for you (Khun Malika) that I think might help. Why don’t we stop teaching people to read and write? It seems the main problem is that people are using their reading and writing skills to spread their ideas.

Another idea might be to ban computers. We got along very well with typewriters just a few years ago. I don’t remember having any problems with people stating their unacceptable ideas to others.

As George Orwell said in the book 1984:

Freedom is slavery.
Ignorance is strength.

Early Adopters Read Shit That Doesn't Fit Their Reality

This is a really important talk on how reality is being shape by Google and Facebook algorithms. I'm very uneasy that my Facebook Stream is only loaded with people who agree with me (and there's not many of them either) but there was a time when I got exposure to new ideas and counter opinions. Not any more and I wonder if that means the internet is becoming a pajama party so much so that real life becomes a disorienting experience when people disagree with our views. This is actually a long an fascinating topic on how reality is painted and I suspect there's a glimmer of the good is being facilitated more than the bad, but not in a way that allows the good to deal with the bad when it is encountered.

Randy Maugans Interviews James Horak

I don't agree that Dr Norman Bergrun's Saturnalian ringmakers are the same as James Horak's EMVs. One is photography of emergent rings around Saturn in nine months between 1980 and 1981, and the others are SOHO satellite images of what can only be described as heliosphere CME-blocking. I also disagree with Randy Maugans assessment of Bill Brockbrader (nee Woods) and both Randy and James understanding of multiple timelines and timeline convergence/divergence.

Other than that it's still a good interview. James has a strong erudite mind and his off planet experiences are worth a listen though his ex military background is worth factoring in as with all ex military and security services members for MKULTRA isues. He's on Facebook though and does talk to people. He rarely talks about ET in Facebook only conspiracy but he does have a fondness for Russian literature and is no fool.

Here's Dr Norman Bergrun speaking about Saturn's rings.

Privately Dr Bergrun has confirmed to Jordan Maxwell that the rings of Saturn are constructed (as John Lash confirms here) but publicly on Coast to Coast he's less direct. Many of us feel that Saturnalian rings are Archontic and that unlike the Solar EMV phenomena  Saturn is not benevolent.

The growing consensus is that Nassim Haramein's conclusion of the sun as stargate is very likely. I think it explains this kind of phenomena.

Facebook Terminates my Account

Oddly enough, I hadn't used my FB account for a couple of days so it did come as a surprise. I don't blame them at all. The narrative of vaccines causing injuries is disintegrating in real time, and the bioweapon known as Sars-Cov-2 (for the people who can delineate between that Corona and COVID-19) is starting to cause enough medical problems for consumer society to actually start scratching their heads and shock-horror, consider the impact of blood clots, bells palsy, heart injury, paralysis, and the rest of the toxic shit-show that comes from the 'grab a jab' and immunity deficiency that vaccines cause.

The above report is on The Guardian's Comment is Free section as MSM's failure becomes self evident. It's best you take a look now to see the epic gaslighting that dying is part of the vaccine process

Just as damming are the reports of airline pilots who are suffering blood-clots in the pressurised cabins and the airlines are literally fucked as their insurance excludes any vaccine injury. British airways naturally denied it but it's not rocket science to see the correlation with Indian pilots dropping like flies.

There's no joy in being right on this subject, and knowing that it's just a matter of time as the herd finally hear the other shoe drop. There have been heated arguments with my father who is quite a good researcher on specific topics, but I've found that as with many from his generation, the inability to admit being incorrect, or even just plain wrong is almost pathological.

On the other side of the spectrum, my daughter who is a lot more clever at her age than when I was 18, thinks it's down to a lifestyle choice of choosing between the Chinese vaccine (Sinovac) or the Astra Zeneca (the Oxford one created by a laboratory managed by a French person) when both are pure poison for a teen whose immunity deficiency could wipe the floor with mine, which will never have an injection willingly. It's kind of interesting but I know a few thousand conspiracy researchers, and not one has died from Covid, on the other hand I have known and met genuine 'COVID' patients and all were gullible about the corporate media. The ones who die are invariably those who lap up the media-messaging and live in a state of fear, unable to live because they're too frightened to die.

The death subject is something that applies to all of us and should be more benign as a discussion; but isn't for very obvious cultural programming issues.

I'm using the time we have left (it will one day run out as events outpace the time to make hard decisions) to share the most effective memes I come across on a wide bunch of platforms, but I don't need FB users to connect with me.

It's a censorship graveyard.

RIP Facebook, it's been quite a ride.
