NIGGAS 4 TRUMP

I don't know Trump personally, although one of his closest advisors followed me on my original Twitter account. I've done my homework though, so I do know how hard he fought for Blacks as President. In fact, 45's presidency was one of the most open and transparent I'm aware of and that's how I got to see the guy at work, as opposed to the toxic legacy media narrative.

Nothing can stop what's coming.

Nothing.

Shakin' Stevens - It All Comes Round

Imagine banging out your best work three decades after fame and fortuitous times carried you with just the rising warm air, intriguing lyrics and very good looks.

I was astonished when I asked the radio One DJ who made this music, and she replied Shakin Stevens - It All Comes Round.

His voice is very touching. You won't recognise him.

Incompetence Theory

I have more images but those last two.

That's crushing

It's purposeful not happenstance.

It's also unfaithful and bad manners to suggest otherwise.

Have we put Incompetence Theory to bed yet?

No, not satisfied

Then with your permission, allow us to pursue this line of inquiry together?

Closer - 2004

For some reason I feel we were regulars down the Pickle Factory in Bangkok when I watched this first. I may be wrong on that as the memory plays tricks.

Those were among the best Pizzas I ever ate, though I did subsequently review many in Jomtien many years later.

What struck me watching this 13 years later is how contemporary it all seemed at the time.

30 somethings getting to grips with pre social media and aging rapidly as we progressed or otherwise professionally and emotionally.

The movie isn't as polished or flawless as these actors could make today, though Natalie Portman, Jude Law, Clive Owen and Julia Roberts are still professionals with a legacy that has not tarnished.

The symbolism of David Bowie's Last Album and Eponymous Track: Blackstar

David Bowie's last album BlackStar's signature track, also called Blackstar is dripping in poignant symbolism. Aside from the line 'on the day of execution' we see visual clues to Kubrick's Space Odyssey (remember this Bowie Kubrick homage?), a straw man of Christianity (Project Bluebeam?), a Black Star represented as both the Star of David and let's call it Nibiru for fun, and of course the ubiquitous pyramid shaped triangle and all seeing eye juxtaposed with bandaged eyes.

I like the candle at the end that starts as a thin flame but swells into a gargantuan mass of humanity as time goes on.

What do you think?
