Graham Hancock's TED Talk Banned

A standing ovation for the former Economist journalist and author of Fingerprint of the God's.  This talk has been banned by TEDx WhiteChapel because it comes too close to the reality that is being hidden from the unconscious British people.

The war on conciousness is best exemplified by people who don't know that the entheogenic experience is as important a human experience as having sex or having a wedding.

If you haven't considered one you can't claim to understand the basics of life. Ask around, talk to people, use a search engine. Reality is not meant to be an adequate experience. It's quite demanding.

Nobel Peace winner Tawakul Karman talks to Al Jazeera

It's easy to dismiss the Nobel peace prize awarded to Tawakul Karman (and Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Leymah Gbowee) as unconnected to the X Factor and TV dinner lives of the West but this year is a great example of an activist in a part of the world, that along with Bahrain and Syria is buried under a daily dishing of brutality that exists in large part to pipe the oil into the West's vehicles.

Everything is connected. Listen to her. There's no daylight between her and say the words of John Lennon or any of the other greats that invariably the system seems to find a way to place a bullet in.

Why Science & Spirituality Need A Hotel Room Quickly

I watched the original debate where Deepak Chopra was questioned by an indignant Leonard Mlodinow on his understanding of quantum mechanics and where they agreed it might be a good idea to write a book together. Here they discuss what that book is about. It's reassuring that one of the top theoretical physicists takes a much more laid back view of Deepak than on that occasion and it's evident that they're both good human beings probably distracted by bogus religious theology in the case of Leonard and fundamentalist scientific materialism by Deepak.

Leonard makes it clear here, that before the big bang time didn't exist and so we're really back to discussing the ineffable or the transdimensional. If anything the more we examine the scientific evidence the more we see how close enlightened spirituality and cutting edge science are saying exactly the same thing. Unified conciousness, non material existence, transdimensional experience not forgetting the intellectual cul de sac of using self awareness to determine what conciousness is. It's unlikely that if the mystery no longer existed we would ever find anything more satisfying again. It's also just as unlikely that if we gave up exploring and explaining the mystery that any purposeful growth could take place.

It's urgent that spiritual awareness calls out bogus theology for the evil that it is and that science slams the breaks on and partners with spirituality if the future is going to be other than an existence where swiftly losing our capacity to make life desirable builds up with particle accelerators. An existence which I might add is already miserable for the billion or so undernourished people on the planet.

Consciousness Sovereignty

Graham Hancock author of Fingerprints of the Gods is a top bloke. However ever since he embarked on a personal odyssey to South America to drink the jungle tea brew of Ayahuasca with South American Shamans his spirituality has sky rocketed and he has become a wonderful ambassador for confronting the ignorance that entheogens are the same as the loosely banded drug term which applies to a pharmacy and heroin. Well worth a listen and of course there's more on DMT and entheogens on this blog if your curiosity is wetted.

Twisted - Art, Schizophrenia & Drugs

This is a portrayal of schizophrenic degradation over a period of years by a patient drawing cats; I think in the late 1920's. I don't want to get into the why a lot of mental disease is exacerbated by 20th century problem/pill solutions but I think it's a useful benchmark for codifying drifting reality.

I quite like the fire god pussy at the end. Frankly it looks splendid and if that's what cats look like, then I want some of that. Well, rather that, than the cheeky catwalk turn and that exposed-in-my face feline arsehole they serve up currently.

And so I also want to introduce to you something I came across from my subscription to dope nation the other day that I've been holding back for you while I get over  Wittgenstein's mesmerizing come down. Truly he is the peak.

In a way it's good coincidence, as I specifically want to talk about the effects of morphine because when I've been screaming so loud at an entire hospital complex, to put me out my pain that they've jacked me up on 200mg of Pethadine AND 200 mg of morphine (eight times the hourly dose they prefer to administer) that it's only when I saw this picture that I realised what went on through the blinding pain.

That actually, even though it's the most cathartic transfer of schmerz to no pain in my life, I previously had no idea that beneath the sea of doped up tranquility, that what was really going on in the hospital bed festooned with pipes and wires and drips and gastric pipes up my nose was a lotta lotta sedated neurological activity.

OF COURSE NOW I SEE. The mind was merely being deceived. And I think you can see that in these pictures below which frankly are the most dangerous artistic and neurological experiment I have come across to date that the morphine tricked me into thinking the pain had gone away. Here is a portrait that portrays otherwise.

And so I claim that the Psilocybin (magic mushroom) below, is ostensibly cheekier, funnier, more dramatic and a little bit bucking bizarre. But as I've done both I'm allowed to shoot my mouth off about that.

There's a lot more of the artist Bryan Lewis Saunders doing drugs for us all; that is him, you and I over here

Update: I can't find the exact post but Clif High talked about using snow to diminish burnt toes and the pain duration lasting infinitely longer than just dealing with it sans snow.
