So Many People Are Crying In Their Latte

SPARKS, oh glorious SPARKS! They have brought me sweet relief, like a shot of adrenaline to the heart, a bolt of lightning to the soul. When suffering, they are my saviors, my shining knights in armor. They're like the jolt of energy you get from a triple espresso, the rush of excitement from a rollercoaster ride, the joy of finding a five hundred Deutschmark note in a Frankfurt Bahnhoff telephone booth.

They're so powerful that they could make opiates on crack feel like weak tea, crystal ice methamphetamine like child's play at JPMorgan Chase, and pure heroin like a distant memory. They're the kind of sparks that could light up a room, a city, a whole country. They could ignite a fire within you, burning away all your worries and pains.

And yet, as magnificent as they are, they're still no match for the destructive power of the opium wars. But fear not, for revenge is a dish best served cold, and nearly two centuries later, we've got Fentanyl, the ultimate weapon of mass relaxation. So, let's raise a glass to SPARKS, the heroes of our time, and let the good times roll.

Ah, Cate Blanchett, the Queen of Qool...

...there's something about her that just draws me in and makes me fall head over heels in love with her. Maybe it's her effortless grace and elegance, or her unwavering commitment to her craft. Maybe it's the way she wears black and yellow like it's nobody's business, with Sparks as her back-up band, and dances like nobody's watching, with headphones on and a smile on her face.

She's like a fine port, looking and tasting better with age. Her elegance is something to behold, a testament to her timeless beauty, raw power and talent. She's never been one to pander to the masses or conform to societal norms. She's always been true to herself, and that's what makes her so irresistible.

This Sparks track plus colour combo and lyrical straight talking takes on an importance not readily noticeable by thin-slicers including myself, which is why I listened to it twice and fell in love with the reward.

Do yourself the same favour and be kind. Also, this is the dirtiest synth opening I've heard in ages. YIKES.

BBC Blasts The Butcher Of Bangkok

The only reason the BBC blast the former PM of Thailand Abhisit (Mark) Vejjajiva is because the democrats are anti New World Order and Ultra Royalist so the BBC agenda here is to prevent this tosser getting elected again.

As the BBC and my interests are the same here I'll share the video but it's important to remember that unlike the BBC I don't use people when it suits me without full disclosure. The BBC needs to be broken up and the decent cultural and art parts retained in some manner but the news is all corporate and militarist agenda. The British people shouldn't have to pay a licence fee for lies lies lies lies lies.

As an aside both the Royalists and the Pro Thaksin camps will criticize me because my allegiance is with humanity and not tribal. I know what Thaksin is going to sell off when he returns (the crown jewels?) and I know the censorship that the military gag Thailand with and exploit the Royal Family over.

Royalists

The King of Thailand was born on a Monday. To celebrate the reign of the worlds longest serving monarch his people wear yellow shirts. Steering a country like Thailand which is built on power play and political intrigue through a volatile century that saw the Japanese annex Thailand in the Second World War through to the Vietnam war which effectively rolled out across Indo China is remarkable in itself but the strongly paternal figure of the King is the last dramatisation of a living deity we will probably ever see.

Westerners don't fully appreciate that word but if you want to see an instant lynch mob just set fire to a banknote in Thailand. Strong leadership will always raise question marks for continuation of stability and this will (not can, but will) play itself out in the natural transition of life expectancy that all humans are subjected too. That's as good as I can get on the topic without offending my hosts, because the Kingdom of Thailand dispenses Lese majeste writs much more easily than for arguably more important matters such as the breaches of human rights that the former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra stands accused of. A little matter of 2500 extra judicial killings in 2003 springs to mind. I guess Manchester City Football club have shown how many dollars they can be bought for.

Anyway its Royal Monday here in Bangkok and we're happy that its probably only the UK which prefers to stalk its Royalty to death for the newspapers that apparently nobody reads any more. There's been a couple of things that seem to have changed in the last few months. The first is that I dropped by the high end Gaysorn Plaza over the weekend and all the luxury boutique owners were moaning that the economy was starting to bite into their wealthy customers pockets. Its cause for concern in luxury brand obsessed Thailand when the not inconsiderable wealthy elite begin to slow down their spending. The other point is that they are ostensibly searching peoples bags as they make their way into the underground for bombs. I'm not sure why the skytrain isn't subject to this kind of search yet but the congestion around rush hour will be paralyzing if this happens. I'll finish this one off later, as my net time is going to run out v. shortly.
