Robert De Niro's Waiting
Hopes dashed to the floor
Like shattered teenage dreams
Boys living next door
Are never what they seem
A walk in the park can become a bad dream
People are staring and following me
This is my only escape from it all
Watching a film or a face on the wall
Robert De Niro's waiting
Talking Italian

Robert De Niro's waiting
I don't need a boy
I've got a man of steel
Don't come any closer
I don't wanna feel
You're breathing, you're touching, but nothing's for free
I never want this to happen to me
Don't try to change me, you're wasting your time
Now I've got something much better in mind

In Plain Sight - The Life & Times of Jimmy Savile
It's easy to demonize Jimmy Savile even though the same people who claim to hate him are by and large ignorant and loudly silent on his full spectrum including the necrophilia, the Satanism, the little boys (as well as girls), his work for SIS (MI5 and MI6), his super tight relationship with the Royal Family and Margaret Thatcher, or even his homosexual relationship with child predator and mayor of Scarborough Peter Jaconelli.
They're even buried in the same cemetery but nobody wants to connect the dots.
Jimmy Savile was a mirror of the super elite establishment's behaviour when evaluating how they conduct their lives. There's no boundaries for this milieu, and that applies to Lord Mountbatten as much as Edward VIII (though no children involved) and Prince Philip. The pattern is quite clear when researching this part of the 1%, though Saviles necrophilia seems to have been an exotic taste too far for even his peers.
The book, In Plain Sight by Dan Davies is disappointing. It does highlight that Savile really was a remarkable man who was a succesful bicycle racing competitor, wrestler, DJ, marathon runner and general psycho-sadist 'will-to-power' kind of guy.
However, the book is limp-wristed is when it comes to basic human intelligence and curiosity about how he moved with ease through the highest circles in the land despite the usual national security checks?
There are some curious points worth highlighting in the book.

I also feel there's much more to Nicky Campbell OBE, than he or Savile ever let on. I've been told this privately by a reasonably well known TV pundit who I believe is credible. I note that Nicky peddles the discredited establishment line on 9/11 and is richly rewarded by the same establishment that venerated Jimmy Savile with an Order of the British Empire. Almost the sine qua non of establishment paedophiles.

The Life and Times of Lord Mountbatten - Part One of Twelve | The King's Ships Were at Sea
The.Life.and.Times.of.Lord.Mountbatten.01of12
Like most people it would be difficult to give Mountbatten a solid thumbs up or down. He had some good things (for himself) and a lot of bad things (for others). I've yet to find credible testimony corroborating accusations of child abuse, though I know credible people who are sure he did.
In the late 60's Mountbatten wished to leave a TV legacy of his life which by any measure was quite extraordinary with or without the fuck ups, like his ineptitude over the Dieppe Landing that cost 1380 mainly Canadian lives with a further 2000 captured from a force of 5000. In those days a toff could just say 'we learned valuable lessons for the future' and nobody questioned it but now we know he made a huge mistake when pressing forward with the landing despite the Germans being alerted.
Mountbatten never thought he did anything wrong and you can see from this TV series that he's a completely solipsistic douchebag, though he does have exquisite manners.
That doesn't mean he didn't have what it takes for other tasks in his life. He was promoted for his failures, and eventually seemed to emerge as a born organizer but he was never very good in battle. He had that ability to tell the chaps he was in charge during an age where leadership was ordained rather than earned.
By the time this 12 part television puff piece had been produced, the bright young things at Thames Television could see he was a pompous fool with many chapters of shame to his history. They pummel him with damning praise through polite questions that you can see over here.
It's worth it to see how the most high are lost to hubris, and fail to see the times they are a changing.

Rothschild Gifts to Lord Mountbatten
On a recent trip to the Mountbatten Archives I came across a donation from the Rothschild family bloodline to pay for Mountbatten's records to be kept at Southampton University. This is in line with the Rothschild gift(s) the family received during and after his death.
Mountbatten was married to Edwina a fabulously wealthy heiress, and so this begs the question. What did Mountbatten do for the Rothschilds to be lavished funds and gifts like the swimming pool which was built for him at Broadlands, as mentioned above in the Brian Hoey puff piece biography, The Private Story?
I don't know but I'm confident I can find out with sufficient research.

Mountbatten - Secret Lives Documentary
Update - Original video removed. Close approximation used to replace.
This documentary is far more informative than the Brian Hoey puff piece "Secret Story".

Lord Mountbatten's Nudity - Mountbatten | The Private Story
Mountbatten Classiebawn |
Mountbatten Knatchbull |
I have been researching Lord Mountbatten using primary archives, press clippings, and library books, as it is alleged he was into sexually abusing little boys. It turns out he was found naked except for a piece of jumper on his body when he was blown up at Classiebawn Castle in Ireland. Also a boy, Tim Knatchbull who survived the blast lost the seat of his jeans which fused to the hot bomb blast metal he was sitting on and when he returned to the mainland from the boat.
It's a poignant visual.
The naked Mountbatten, a man who allegedly visited Kincora to abuse boys, lying dead in a boat to conceal his exposed body, while a young boy walks away alive with his bottom showing from his jeans.
Despite this description, Brian Hoey's book is an obsequious puff piece probably arranged by Mountbatten to contrast with his official biography. There are basic errors in it such as his description that both Edwina and Louis weren't interested in sex, only to contradict this a few chapters later that Edwina was the sexual one, the Viceroy not.
This is the sort of narrative I would be confused about if I wanted to conceal I enjoyed raping children.

Lord Mountbatten - Thames Television - Today Programme
In this interview, Mountbatten says he has no idea of television and how it works, yet in Brian Hoey's Mountbatten book he advises the author to be filmed a few inches above his head so the lines on the aging face are not visible. He said he learned this from his Hollywood friends. He and his new wife Edwina also honeymooned in Hollywood.
Mountbatten was best friends with Douglas Fairbanks Jr and so while it's clear he's arrogant and haughty in this follow up interview, it's also clear his obsession with staging events down to the smallest detail proves he knew exactly what he would be getting into when he made a 12 part Television series puff-piece about his life.
