The Conciousness Awakening With Russell Brand - Interviewer Alex Jones

One of the great things about being plugged into the wider conciousness is listening to people you like and enjoy articulate exactly the same things you believe and feel even though we've never met, we don't follow each other and yet have extraordinarily similar values.

This isn't about blogging only about work related issues, or things that make money.

This is about talking about what matters

I use this outlet to raise the danger of a lot of dark political issues going on behind the scenes. These are topics that the corporate media whitewash out for the inattentive, but in reality I'm passionate about the things Russell Brand talks about in this remarkable interview, with an incongruous inquisitor of Alex Jones who I have both praised and criticized here.

Russell Brand Exposes Corporate Media Puppets

Comedian Russell Brand terrified anchors on MSNBC's Morning Joe program by lecturing them about how the media distracts from real news by obsessing about superficial distractions.

Brand almost immediately put host Mika Brzezinski on the back foot by describing his tour as an exploration of how Malcolm X, Gandhi, Che Guevara and Jesus Christ "are significant culturally and how icons are appropriated and used to designate consciousness and meaning....they're all people that died for a cause, they're all people whose icons are used to designate meaning, perhaps not in the manner in which they intended."

Brand then poked fun at MSNBC's army of "actors" in the back of the shot who were supposedly tweeting, noting that they were merely a gimmick to create the impression that the program was a hotbed of news.

The anchors began to get visibly uncomfortable when Brand made the point that mass media was an operation in changing information "so it suits a particular agenda" and that viewers were being manipulated.

Instead of addressing Brand's point, the anchors instead obsessed about the comedian's accent and his clothing.

"You're talking about me as if I'm not here and as if I'm an extraterrestrial," responded Brand, "thank you for your casual objectification."

"I'm a little nervous," retorted Brzezinski, presumably not used to entertaining guests on her program who act like real people.

When the conversation began to break down, Brand asked , "Is this what you all do for a living?" before hijacking the broadcast to talk about Edward Snowden, the NSA spying scandal and Bradley Manning.

"Look beyond the superficial, that's the problem with current affairs, you forget about what's important, you allow the agenda to be decided by superficial information -- what am I saying -- what am I talking about -- don't think about what I'm wearing, these things are redundant, superficial -- don't be distracted," said Brand as Brzezinski physically cowered.

Update: Mika Brzezinski has changed her tune over what is and isn't trivial. They can all rot in hell as far as I'm concerned. Totally fake people.

Zbigniew Brzezinski On China

Because he's a product of the cold war, Zbigniew Brzezinski isn't capable of some simple 'can't we call get along' vision that would mean scaling back the rapacious greed and violence of the United States.

Other than that he's a bully, but he's by no means the worst and along with Brent Scowcroft and Heinz Kissinger is a good indication of the eminence grise view of US imperialism. A stable view not a neocon ultraviolent Zionist view of world geopolitics is needed. Thank God.

Two Ex-Junkies Chat About Guy Debord and Psychogeography

I was having a good laugh with these two last night and as I've written about Will Self's Naked Apes book before and Russell Brand for interviewing David Icke recently, I think they deserve a post.

By coincidence I'm going for some psychogeography rambling myself next week so I might have something interesting to say about that. I imagine I'll restrain myself from taking the mick out of Guy DeBord tottering around Paris after a bottle of Red while walking the A4 from Heathrow to West London as Will does in this interview. No seriously, it's a funny chat.

Russell Brand Interviews David Icke

One interpretation of Rock 'n Roll is a loud in your face, unforgettable and counter cultural artform designed to upset all but the initiated. By that definition it's conceivably plausible that David Icke is the most Rock 'n Roll meme-huffer on the planet. An in-your-face cultural icon.

For a republican like myself, determined to sling the ancient and parasitical royal dynasties out on their ear, it seems a perfectly reasonable proposition that the Buckingham Saxe-Coburg-Gotha/Windsor royal plutocrats could well be, as David asserts, a shape shifting reptilian bloodline. The blue blood description stretches back to a copper oxidising bloodline that isn't human unlike the red, iron oxidising bloodline of humans. Or is that just apocryphal? Go research it.

However even the murder of Princess Diana failed to challenge the sycophantic British public's unswerving and undying(sic) loyalty. It's an island wide Stockholm syndrome to the neutral mind, and I'm dreading the upcoming royal wedding and state visit of Barack Obama to London. Why would the British people wallow in a nostalgia-pit of egregious inequality taxed at their own expense, while schools, hospitals and libraries are shut down?

It's lascivious lizard love. Good interview by Russell Brand above with David Icke though.
