Terence McKenna - Timewave Zero 2012

It's been so long since I heard this and as I tried to explain a bit of it earlier today I thought I'd listen to a short edit of the story behind Terence McKenna's Timewave Zero. There's still something there. Something mysterious.

But as we now know Terence McKenna proselytized the mushroom without taking any for many years during his speaking career after a bad trip. But as I say, there's still something to this story. We shall see right?

视频: 2012.09.12 TEDTalks - Leslie T. Chang

To agree or disagree with author of Factory GirlsLeslie T Chang's TED Talk about the people who clamber over each other to work in China's factories to make the consumer electronics and handbags we buy is missing the point. There are so many dimensions to this topic that listening to her should make us all feel a little more humble about knowing how little we know.

I loved hearing about the people and their dreams instead of the endless talk of capitalism and consumer products.

A Victory For Justice , Decency & Ordinary People

I've never accepted the noxious practice of reading tabloid newspaper. The damage that these newspapers have done to people's conciousness such that they no longer identify with the pain and suffering they cause has always made me angry and has upset me.

I am not a football fan but I can assure you there are many other reasons why The Sun deserves to be made an example of. The British public in particular have an unusual hypocrisy when it comes to dissociating what their extended actions mean through media choices and militaristic, ceremonial or pageantry indulgences. They simply don't stop to think.

I never thought I'd see the day when a shop sign would indicate that The Sun would not be sold for reasons of decency. There is so much more to go but my God this is a start if we are to be heroes and champions of life.
