Tariq Ali's 9/11 Blindness
Dear Tariq
It pains me to respond to your recent 9/11 interview uploaded on Youtube but I was so offended by your words that I request you consider a more pluralist and nuanced opinion in future.
Like you I felt it preposterous that 9/11 was not orchestrated by Osama Bin Laden. I have no wish to persuade you otherwise but it is of critical intellectual importance that some sympathy is considered for the magnitude of distress that arises when over a period of years not months of research, I was obliged to change my opinion.
It is not a light decision.
It poisons the well of good faith, attacks the integrity of consensus reality and earns the greatest of ridicule. It is so anathema to Western civilisation it has been career suicide in the past to be open on the matter. One can question the million deaths the ensuing war on Iraq incurred but one cannot question the veracity of the event that promulgated it. Is not this magnitude of deceit the strongest evidence that something is rotten in the heart of the Anglo Saxon TransAtlantic alliance?
It is crushing that the examples you used to argue your case were not very well informed points of order at all and require the worst excesses of damaging speculation to address. The sine qua non of the coincidence theorist is Building 7. Speak about that for ten minutes and no conspiracy realist will ever question your integrity.
Look, Tariq. I don't know if a plane or not hit the Pentagon because I've heard incredible arguments for both. I also don't know if it was an inside false flag or as some have framed it, a coup d'etat on the Bush Government that a new group were the new gang taking over.
The point is certainty is the last stance a person should make and that applies so much more to the people who believe the official narrative. To give these warmongers the benefit of trust makes no sense.
It is not easy to be persuasive on this matter. My intention is largely to convey one point so often not fully grasped. It is very painful to change one's mind on 9/11.. The consequences change one's life and bring great sorrow.
By the way I thought your 9/11 Berlin Cellar address in New York suggested you might be unable to be candid on the matter. Either way I ask you to be courteous to the complexity and power of consensus reality.
Sincerely

Oliver Stone & Tariq Ali - On History
The problem with the official version of American history is that it a complete fabrication from beginning to end. Listen and learn to Oliver Stone and Tariq Ali before reality disappears down the wormhole.
It's so hard to recover, so it's worth catching now.

Tariq Ali - Before Zionism | When Jews Christians & Muslims Lived Together In Peace
I would much prefer to spend my time listening and learning from lectures like this new upload from Tariq Ali at SOAS than closely watching the decline of human conciousness in our time, but that's a bit of a luxury given the corporate warmongering forces running the planet.
Tariq uses Cervantes, Don Quixote to teach us how Muslims are the new Jews. A people persecuted for reasons of divide and rule more than any innate inferiority. The forces of exploitation and misery know this only too well.

Tariq Ali - A Great Orator
A recent upload of an older speech. Tariq Ali is the finest orator since the late Christopher Hitchens but in the long run Tariq's words are consistently more durable. He's a great socialist and by that I mean a person of the people for the people, and the first British choice I'd put forward for the people if the British can get over their inability to choose a political leader who isn't a politician.

Tariq Ali Speaks To SOAS About Israel Bombing Palestine
Tariq Ali makes the painfully common sense point that the only place in the world where a no fly zone is desperately needed gets pounded by American made F-16s flown by Israel. Slightly further to the East another war is being provoked with Syria who are close to having a no fly zone imposed on them while being flooded with NATO backed Jihadi terrorists including Al Qaeda. As long as they're Sunni Muslims right?
That's your psycho nutter Western backed warmongers for you. Always meddling. Always changing sides. Always silent on the the real issues in their biased news.

Tariq Ali On CIA Fuelled Massacres & Mayhem In Syria
Tariq Ali, like Webster Tarpley knows what's what in Syria. You'd be gullible to let your corporate media channels tell you what to think about the situation there. I've used CIA as a kind of shorthand here. Actually the war criminals that flooded Syria with the money and the guns are as follows:
CIA
SIS (MI6)
Washington
Tel Aviv
London
Paris
Qatar
Saudi
Media line controlled by Senior Fellows at the Council on Foreign Relations and all the other toadies like the BBC whose biased reporting is a lesson in self delusion as well as propaganda.
All of the above stoked a legitimate student uprising against the arsehole Bashar Assad into a bloody sectarian conflict with 30000 confirmed minimum casualties and Islamist terror groups now openly at war with one of the last secular countries in the Middle East. If it wasn't for the innocents being decapitated by Islamist terror groups I'd be quiet happy to sit back and watch the Western funded Free Syrian Army duke it out with the Syrian Army. They both now deserve each other.

Julian Assange Thank You Speech Behind Harrods
The Vienna Convention is the single most subscribed to convention on the planet. For William Hague to threaten tiny Ecuador and persecuted Julian while the controlled media are silent over whistleblowers is a disgusting, and evidence that this is a fight for change that will result in the change we demand.
The media is bent, the judiciary is bent, the police are bent and there's no need to provide words for government. Both sides are on the same team. When it matters, where it matters there's no difference. The rest is cosmetics for superficial people to feast on.
Thanks to Vivienne Westwood for standing up against the establishment and of course the indefatigable Tariq Ali who has put in decades of service to humanity.
Huge thanks to Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Columbia, El Salvador, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Peru and Venezuela for protesting against Julian's persecution. Shame on the US, Canada, Australia and all the greedily developed nations for having no moral foundation.

Tariq Ali At Princeton University
The visual above is an Iranian couple before the Islamic revolution. That revolution would never have happened if the CIA hadn't toppled the democratically elected Mosaddegh government in 1954. Time and again the US interferes with foreign countries and uses the division and turbulence to spend more on its military and sell arms to the enemies of its enemies.
It's not a great speech but it is good and compares the Arab spring to the European revolutions of 1848.

Unmissable Cult Movies - John Carpenter's They Live
Están Vivos (They Live) - John Carpenter. from Morféo on Vimeo.
In Total Film's top 34 cult movies and available in full online. Also one of Tariq Ali's top picks and probably as contemporary as it ever will be.

Tariq Ali - The Arab Intifada & American Power
It's about the Arab uprising but Tariq Ali says he'd default on debt if in power while outlining the contrived bogus political divide that elects wishy washy Etonians who compete against each other on how much of our money to slash. Meanwhile the Corporation of London Banking bonuses soar sky high in preparation for one last fleecing of the public. Tariq Ali I think throws his hat into the ring of public service with this speech for the Socialist Workers Party.
Tariq is a man who understands the ebb and flow of history. It is the fool who fails to read the signs and discern impending systemic change.
Back in March I wrote a post for my friends and family in England titled 'Advice'. You can find it here here. England needs a leader who isn't part of the Kabuki theatre politics of left and right. Tariq has been kept on the periphery on the intellectual establishment not just by the Left who despise his authenticity but by the bean counters who really run the show and know how to provoke civil unrest when the spotlight is on their economic failings.
Real power cultivates failed generations so an entire layer of chavs can be thrown into the conflict of war abroad, or civil unrest at home. The recent riots like the 80's riots are an essential tool for managing populations.
Keep them stupid, keep them feral. Keep them broke. Then they are useful to panic the middle classes that something must be done and sweeping measures are a necessary evil. It's textbook Fascism.
The game is rigged. Wake up before it engulfs you. Tariq isn't perfect but he isn't a sell out.

Power To The People
I applaud the FBI's latest release of John Lennon's FBI files on their new site the FBI vault which also allows for an RSS feed of latest releases. It seems they are taking a leaf out of Wikileaks example and championing the self evident truth that sunlight is the best disinfectant. It's also worth noting from previous posts here on Monarch programming and MK-Ultra that Mark Chapman may well have been a victim of that process. Coincidentally Lennon was shot outside the Dakota apartment block in New York where the story of Rosemary's Baby was located and filmed.
It appears from these files that John either had a receptive person who understood his music when applying for his American visa or perhaps paid a bribe to secure it given the intensity of his file profiling him as anti American. That may not have been enough to later on protect his life from the people who run mind control programs and take out those who have an uncomfortable message. Such as the one with Yoko Ono above.

Advice
We've seen how morally bankrupt the British political system is on all sides. Blair sells the Libyans arms that are then used against their own people and then later Cameron bombs them from the air to keep a tight reign on the oil so you can nip down to the corner shop and pick up your newspaper which you can read while checking to see what channel the war is on.
It's highly unlikely I will die in the UK so this isn't about my well being. It is about advice to my British friends. Tariq Ali is the nearest thing the Brits have to a natural born leader with the wisdom and track record to do the right thing.
Should the diaphanous mirage of left and right politics evaporate to reveal a singular entity pulling both left and right levers I put it to you my British friends that you have no better strategy than to ally yourself closely with the repressed peoples of Pakistan. Should that ever make sense there could be no better guide than Tariq Ali who I suspect can navigate the delicate and precarious framework of doing the right thing without antagonising India. Both countries immigrants are crucial to keeping the the United Kingdom out of war.
Though of course you might want to watch Tariq's latest talk in Australia and draw your own conclusion.

The New Bolivarians
It's funny how things are increasingly connected. I've mentioned I like Oliver Stone's work and that the person I most like listening to and reading at the moment is Tariq Ali. Well I recently watched both of them in a video clip as they worked together on Oliver Stone's "South of the border" documentary about American Imperialism in South American, so I downloaded it last night to check it out.
One of the reasons I'm still engaged in political thinking is because of the unchecked role of the media, particularly in the American Empire's politics. I have always kept a lazy eye on South American politics and particularly on Hugo Chavez and so it was a gust of clean fresh air to learn more about the man than I've ever managed to accumulate before. Most importantly it blew away some of the demonic myths circulated by the American propaganda machine.
I think it's self evident that the leaders Oliver Stone interviews here like Lula, Evo Morales, Hugo Chavez, Fernando Lugo, Rafael Correa all come across as principled and decent men with countries that the U.S has fucked over at one time or another. Most surprising though is the modesty of Raul Castro and of course the inclusive societal vision of Hugo Chavez. Fox News make their usual retarded (for profit) contribution with one host confusing cocoa with cocaine in an attempt to demonize one of the most inspirational political figures of the 21st century.
The U.S. elite has a lot to fear if the increasingly powerful Stateside Latino lobby catch on to the reality that democracy isn't about filling the pockets of the rich but instead about providing as much as possible to as many as possible.

As an interesting aside I learned last night that John Lennon's Power to the People was inspired by his interview with Tariq Ali in the sixties for The Black Dwarf. Tariq Ali is a very interesting guy.
