2012 was an extraordinary year, but not in the way that I expected. A lot of transformational events occured and they were 'apocalyptic' which comes from Apokálypsis, an Ancient Greek work for 'the lifting of the veil (unveiling) or 'all that is hidden will be revealed' as Led Zep's Robert Plant sang in the song Kashmir. That's another of British Empire's territorial conflicts like Palestine, left to fend for itself with terrorist migrants genociding the locals in 1947 while bombing a British hotel and hanging British troops and leaving them dangling and booby trapped.

February 10 2024 will be the next Chinese New Year of the Dragon, now 12 years later. This version of Kashmir by Led Zep, with the Cairo Orchestra is by far the best I've come across. West Papua is another Kashmir but more Rio Tinto (GovCorp) than Sykes-Picot.

So Many People Are Crying In Their Latte

SPARKS, oh glorious SPARKS! They have brought me sweet relief, like a shot of adrenaline to the heart, a bolt of lightning to the soul. When suffering, they are my saviors, my shining knights in armor. They're like the jolt of energy you get from a triple espresso, the rush of excitement from a rollercoaster ride, the joy of finding a five hundred Deutschmark note in a Frankfurt Bahnhoff telephone booth.

They're so powerful that they could make opiates on crack feel like weak tea, crystal ice methamphetamine like child's play at JPMorgan Chase, and pure heroin like a distant memory. They're the kind of sparks that could light up a room, a city, a whole country. They could ignite a fire within you, burning away all your worries and pains.

And yet, as magnificent as they are, they're still no match for the destructive power of the opium wars. But fear not, for revenge is a dish best served cold, and nearly two centuries later, we've got Fentanyl, the ultimate weapon of mass relaxation. So, let's raise a glass to SPARKS, the heroes of our time, and let the good times roll.

Ah, Cate Blanchett, the Queen of Qool...

...there's something about her that just draws me in and makes me fall head over heels in love with her. Maybe it's her effortless grace and elegance, or her unwavering commitment to her craft. Maybe it's the way she wears black and yellow like it's nobody's business, with Sparks as her back-up band, and dances like nobody's watching, with headphones on and a smile on her face.

She's like a fine port, looking and tasting better with age. Her elegance is something to behold, a testament to her timeless beauty, raw power and talent. She's never been one to pander to the masses or conform to societal norms. She's always been true to herself, and that's what makes her so irresistible.

This Sparks track plus colour combo and lyrical straight talking takes on an importance not readily noticeable by thin-slicers including myself, which is why I listened to it twice and fell in love with the reward. 

Do yourself the same favour and be kind. Also, this is the dirtiest synth opening I've heard in ages. YIKES.

Veiled Death Threat

Yesterday I had a comment on my 2012 Olympics post by a person who referenced a British Blogger who mysteriously took his life after absolutely smashing the super creepy NHS/Covid symbolism before the opening ceremony of 2012. 

You remember 2012 right? What has the Olympics got to do with sick people, nurses, giant puppets babies with split heads and so forth? The commenter Tom, made a friendly comment but dropped an obvious mistake into it, referencing the FBI taking down the British blogger's website before he was suicided at the age of 26.

I don't think MI5 wet works is outsourced to the FBI but if I was on holiday in Tel Aviv, I'm pretty sure they'd get their far-right mates to do the dirty work for them. They're all on the same team.

I thought let's just do a bit of digging to see if the commenter really is legit, so I dived into the comment tools and discovered the account was opened 10 years ago, wrote one comment and then nothing till 10 years later dropping an ominous comment on my 2012 Olympic symbolism post about dead bloggers that I wrote in 2013: and now 10 years later was deleted overnight.

It's not the first time I've thrown a dart in the bullseye and had a post deleted, but I just want to say if you blow 6 million pounds on an opening ceremony with very obvious symbolism, WTF is your problem with me writing about it? 

If you're going to get your Obelisk out, don't moan at me for glancing at it.
