Druidic Initiation?

American Beauty - 1999 (Celebrity Rose Petals)

Recently a bunch of celebrity Hollywood pedovores have been publishing references to flowers, petals and in Madonna's case actually mimicking the famous bath scene in American Beauty.

I thought this would be a good time to review the movie, given that I haven't seen it since 1999ish. Like many movies, it hasn't weathered the test of time vis a vis the excitement when it was released. Hollywood has been totally sexualised and in some respects this film is quite tame compared to recent productions.  At first there were lot's of conspiracy theories that the petals represent adrenochrome or sexualised youth if you wish.

Let's look at the slebs' social media posts.

I guess it's a fairly valid claim though it did occur to me that given Madonna's 2019 Eurovision appearance with gas mask dancers, the theme might be referring to the old nursery rhyme, Ring a ring of roses, a pocket full of poses.

Around 10 seconds in Madonna appears to drunkenly stumble. I think the jury's out on the symbolism, but it's clear something destabilising has taken hold of slebland.

They got the feeling they met before.

What Kind of Sophistry is this? - Man on the Moon - Jim Carey/Andy Kaufman

That Jim Carey, he's awesome said some, but by the end of the movie even lovable Jim Carey was just too damn weird. I enjoyed it thoroughly. It seemed to me that Andy Kaufman's entire schtick was to bleed real life onto the stage and the stage into real life.

By the end we're left wondering if everyone is a crisis actor in a hair brained scheme that has gone totally right or wrong, depending on your point of view.
